Simple to make, super easy, and perfect party recipe Popcorn Shrimp-Prawns Popcorn. Lightly breaded in breadcrumbs with a kick of seasoning and then fried in oil until they are golden brown on the outside and tender, juicy shrimp/prawns on the inside. They are deliciously irresistible to both children and adults alike.

Ingredients

For Marination

  • 40-45 nos Shrimp/Prawns medium size, cleaned
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder 
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste 
  • Salt to taste

For Dipping and Frying :

  • 1/3 cup All purpose flour/Maida
  • 1 cup Homemade or Store-bought Bread crumbs I have taken homemade plain and panko bread crumbs : 1/2 cup each. Combine panko and plain bread crumbs together
  • 4 Egg beaten with a pinch of pepper and salt

Instructions

  • Marinate shrimp/prawns with listed ingredients mentioned above “For Marination"

  • Dip the shrimp one at a time in all purpose flour/maida, then in the beaten egg and finally in the bread crumbs,

  • Pressing to coat.

  • Deep-fry shrimp/prawns  in couple of  batches until brown and crisp, cook about 3 – 4 minutes.

  • Serve immediately with sweet chilli sauce/ketchup or with your favorite sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

To keep things clean and mess free fingers, it is easiest to use one hand for the dry ingredients and one had for the wet.
