Baby Potato Roast Recipe – Urulakkizhangu Roast Recipe

Baby Potato looks beautiful  & cute, don’t they???

They are not only the perfect side dish but they are extremely easy to make and very tasty and fulfilling. This is one of my family’s favorites. Simple and delicious!

They had a nice fennel flavor and were tender and moist inside with a touch of crispy on the outside. If you ever see these little beauties in the store buy them and give a try and Enjoy!

Baby Potato Roast Recipe – Urulakkizhangu Roast Recipe

Ingredients :

Baby potatoes  : 1/2 lb or 1kg
Shallots : 8-10 nos
Garlic : 4 cloves
Fennel Powder : 1 tsp (If your using fennel seeds, dry roast and powder it)
Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder/Chicken Masala Powder : 1/2 tsp
Dry Red Chilli : 5-6 or to your spicy level
Oil : 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

How to make Baby Potato Roast – Urulakkizhangu Roast :

1. Clean the potatoes and gently pierce each with a fork.
2. Boil the potatoes with little salt;  peel the skin and  keep aside.
3. In a blender, shallots, garlic, dry red chilli, chicken masala powder or garam masala powder, turmeric powder, salt and grind to a coarse paste.
